Totally Trendy: One Shoulder Dresses

One of the best things about fashion is just how versatile it is. Add or take away any element from a style and you have a whole new look. One of the best examples of this has to be the one-shoulder dress. It’s a great way to play around with cut and style if you’re hitting a super fancy event and some of our fave stars have rocked it well. Check them out below.

Victoria Justice wore this fun, flirt one-shoulder dress to the MTV Movie Awards in June. The color blocking with the yellow and white makes the dress really eye-catching and the flowy skirt keeps the look young and fun.

Selena Gomez‘s gray dress could have ventured into drab territory, but the one-shoulder style kept the look fun and fresh. Sel always looks great, but we would have loved to see her accessorize this look a little more to add a much-needed pop of color!

ABC Family alum Cassie Scerbo went for a twist on the basic little black dress when she hosted launch of TheCaratDiet.com in this one-shoulder dress. Cassie also spiced up her look by going for a dress with different materials in the skirt and top; the shine of the skirt helps break up the dress and give it a more unique look.

Ariana Grande is known for her always-girly style. She didn’t make an exception for this one-shoulder dress. Ariana chose a dress that combined a new style with her signature look when she wore this pink one-shoulder dress with silver accents. We love it!

Take Me Home Cover Art Revealed!

Directioners: Study the image above. Learn it. Love it. Because come November, you’ll be clamoring for it. It’s the cover art for their upcoming sophomore album,Take Me Home. We love that the cover looks like a yearbook with a luggage tag sticker – it totally represents the whirlwind year One Direction have had. If the hype for the album’s lead single, “Live While We’re Young,” is any indication (it’s already broken tons of pre-order records), Take Me Home will be another smash for the guys. They just wrapped production on the video for “LWWY,” even though the song isn’t available until October 1.

“Day two finished, and that’s the video for ‘Live While We’re Young’ done,”Harry tweeted recently. “Amazing crew, amazing people involved. Thanks again .x.”

Justin Bieber is set to team up with LA Reid as a guest mentor on an upcoming episode of the X Factor. Justin was seen helping LA Reid sort through competitors and help him decide who should make it over to the next round. In addition so helping as a guest mentor, Justin also took the stage and performed one of his new songs! We’re so excited to see Justin on the X Factor, which will begin airing on September 12th!

Demi is Performing at the VMAs, Justin Wants to

The MTV Video Music Awards lineup is becoming just unreal. One Direction, Taylor Swift, Frank Ocean and Rihanna were all set to perform and the VMAs decided that wasn’t enough. And who did they add? Only Demi Lovato, one of our faves.

“So freakin excited to perform at the @MTV VMA Pre-Show! I can’t believe it!!! http://on.mtv.com/OFoAQH,” Demi tweeted today, confirming the announcement and her personal excitement level.

Oh, and if the VMAs decide they still need to add a little star power, another famous singer has already volunteered: Justin Bieber.

One Direction: New Album Name Revealed!

We still can’t wait for 1D’s new single, “Live While We’re Young,” which comes out October 1 in the U.S., but we do have a little new One Direction scoop to hold us over. Today, the guys announced the name of their highly anticipated sophomore album. And it’s called (cue the drum roll): Take Me Home. Louis spread the word by tweeting the announcement.
